What are the Muse's dimensions, capacity, and weight?

The Muse measures 19" across the top opening, tapering to a 13" base, stands 11" tall, and is 5" deep, with a 9" strap drop. That's roughly 14 liters of capacity, and the bag weighs just 1.5 lbs empty.

How much does the Muse weigh?

1.5 lbs empty — light enough to carry all day before you've packed a thing.

What's the strap drop, and how is it worn?

The Muse has a fixed shoulder strap with a 9" drop, designed to be worn on the shoulder.

Can I take the Muse as a carry-on?

Yes. The back has a trolley sleeve, so it slides right over your suitcase handle and rolls through the airport — and at 1.5 lbs it barely touches your carry-on weight.

What is the Muse made from?

Premium full-grain leather — pebbled on the outside, with a soft sueded finish under the flap. Full-grain is the most durable grade of leather, and it only develops a richer patina the longer you carry it.

What can I fit inside the Muse?

Plenty. The padded sleeve fits a 14" laptop, and the main compartment holds up to a 16". There's room for a large Stanley and even an umbrella, plus two zip pockets for your wallet and sunglasses, and two open interior pockets for books, chargers, a notepad, or an iPad mini.

What warranty comes with the Muse?

The Muse is backed by our 2-year warranty, like every Wool & Oak bag — covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.

Can I return or exchange the Muse?

Yes — we offer 14-day returns and exchanges. If it's not right, reach out within 14 days of delivery and we'll help you swap it or refund it.

Still have questions?

We usually respond within 24 hours.

GORGEOUS bag, very practical!
I decided I needed a "big girl bag" after having a chat with my friend and realizing that my little crossbody bag I was using just wasn't cutting it anymore. I was sick of having to balance my water bottle, travel mug, and occasionally phone (if I didn't have pockets in my outfit) when going to work, so I hunted for a big purse with lots of organization and found this gem!
This bag is *exactly* what I had hoped it would be. It holds all of the stuff I typically bring to work (water bottle, lunch tin, travel mug, and a book or two), but I can also pack it for school as well! The main compartment is even large enough to fit my giant laptop that measures 14 inches long or 17 inches on the diagonal, which I wasn't expecting but am very pleased with! I can also easily put a small purse inside this one to take with me when going into thrift stores or other shops where large purses aren't allowed.
The leather is absolutely stunning and while I was a bit nervous about the initial smell (very strong chemical scent upon opening the box, I assume from the dye) it quickly faded and revealed the gorgeous leather scent underneath.
Something of note on the size: I am 5'4, so it looks much bigger on me in comparison to the models. I don't personally mind (it honestly is really chic, especially when I wear my oversized sunglasses with it) but if that would bother you then I would maybe consider a different bag from this brand.
Overall, I am exceptionally happy with this purchase and…

Muse Bag
I recently started using this bag as a tote for work. It is very sturdy and beautifully made. I love the thick straps and the wide magnetic flap that closes the tote over the zipper closure . The compartments in the bag are practical especially the strap for the water bottle. I like it so much that I have also been using it as a purse. I would highly recommend it!
